Nadine Naber is a public scholar, activist, author, and teacher from Al-Salt, Jordan and the Bay Area of California. She’s the founder of Liberate Your Research Workshops and a Professor at the University of Illinois in the Gender and Women’s Studies and Global Asian Studies Programs. For 10 years, she worked as a professor at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor (2003-2013), where she co-founded the Arab and Muslim American Studies program.
IRWG research project aims to explore how research development professionals can help faculty integrate diversity, equity & inclusion frameworks into their research.
This panel aims to create opportunities to explore researcher experiences with incorporating inclusive and varied gender identities and expressions into the research process.
This is part of a monthly series of workshops from the Institute for Research on Women and Gender (IRWG) at the University of Michigan, to promote faculty research.
We will be discussing why the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF), the nation’s largest philanthropy dedicated solely to health, might be of interest to IRWG researchers. In this session, we will briefly introduce the priorities of RWJF and their current and forecasted funding opportunities.
